Snakes and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

Yep, you read right! We're having a BOY!!!!! We weren't going to find out -- we never have until this time. And we tired not to this time, but this little man wanted to be seen!!! I guess he was worried he wouldn't have anything but pink to where when he got here if he didn't make it known that blue was the color of the day. We looked away at all the right times during the ultrasound -- didn't even peek (though I was tempted too). Tre' and I were looking at the pictures that printed out before we left the ultrasound room when Tre' noticed something on one of the pics in his hand. He showed it to me and there was no mistaking boy parts peeking from behind a leg. We asked to double check and we just laughed. A boy!!!! What in the world are we going to do with a boy???? I'm betting we figure it out... I remember a day when we didn't know what to do with girls!! :) We'll name him after his daddy, Charles James IV and we'll call him Chip. Chip was on Catie's list of approved boy names (directly behind Flounder and Lucifer (you know the cat from Cinderella -- told her NO way, NO how on that one!!))... She liked Chip b/c of the little teacup on Beauty and the Beast. I just like the name and I like the way it sounds when we say Chip and Izzy. A BOY!! Who'd of thunk it???

Boys are lots of fun. They are certainly different, but you will figure it all out.

Congratulations!! You're in for a real treat with that precious baby boy. I have a girl and boy and have loved having one of each. I love the name and I'm sure Catie Bug is quite pleased with the name as well. I guess now you can start shopping for those cute blue boy clothes. Take good care of yourself.

Yeah for a little boy! I am partial to boys having 3 myself :) They are definitely mama's boys! Congrat's again and hope you are feeling great! BTW, I can hardly wait until our elf 'Snappy' comes back to visit us. We think of you all when we talk about our silly elf Snappy.

Whoo hoo!!! That's so exciting! What fun it will be to walk on the other side of the road for a while! (: I love the name too. A way to honor Catie and celebrate your husband. I'm sure Izzy will teach him many things...like how to dance. (: We're excited for you and look forward to more news as the time comes.

Congratulations, Jenny! I'm so excited for you and I love the tradition of using the same name but with a nickname that's all his own. We are expecting our 3rd in March also, we found out last week we're having a little girl. After 2 boys, that was a surprise but I'm so excited to be buying pink!

Congratulations to ALL of you! Izzy is an outdoors girl, so she'll love her bubba and all the fun they can have. An angel, a princess, and a warrior; what an incredible family! I love the name "Chip", too; it sounds perfect. Yay!

Congratulations!! And Chip is a wonderful name! I'll bet Catie is so excited that her little brother will have a name that she helped to pick out! Can't wait to "meet" this little guy and "see" how Izzy interacts with him!!! Bet he's busy getting smothered with hugs and kisses from Catie right now! I'm so happy for you all.

Congratulations! Chip & Izzy - that sounds just right, I think! You'll love a little boy, of course. Little boys love their mamas, I always say. There's nothing quite like a sticky, dirty little boy kiss and hug! Congrats again!

I don't think I've posted before...or at least not recently, but I've been following since the caringbridge days. I just wanted to congratulate you on your son! I think Chip is just the cutest name ever. And Chip and Izzy does sound adorable together. But I gotta ask...if Chip was a girl, what would her name be?

How awesome! My boys and girl are totally different but so much the same. And I'm glad you got to use the other name that Catie approved of! I remember it from before Iz was born. I'm impressed that you could see it on the ultrasound - maybe you should think about changing careers! Half the time I had no idea what I was looking at during those things. :)
Congratulations and have fun buying blue!
Love you! Erin
