When in Savannah do as the Irish!

St. Patrick's Day is a HUGE event in Savannah. Tre's Mamanon always has a big shindig at her house. Each year we go to her house for green grits and green bread and lots of other yummies! Tomorrow will be no different and it is always a grand time! I was looking back through old pictures tonight and thought I'd share some green with you. I don't have the pics from Catie's first 2 St. Patty's Days digitally, but I do have them from her last 2. Looking back on pictures of Izzy 1st Wearin' O' the Green, it's AMAZING how much she's grown in a year!!

Keeping Catie hydrated was always a battle. This year she had learned of the fun that leprechauns could bring! We put some food coloring in some apple juice and told her it was leprechaun juice and she drank it down!!! She loved that it turned her tongue green too.

Oh how I miss that grin.

Think she's grown a bit?

We didn't brave the parade w/ Izzy last year. It will be fun to see what she thinks of it tomorrow!

I love the pictures of Catie! She just makes me smile.

What amazes me more than how much Izzy (and Macie) have grown, is how much they have learned! I can not let my guard down for a second with Macie.

Maybe one day we can get the 2 together to play.

What fun!! I remember some of the pics of Catie . . . how precious she is! I'm sure Izzy will have a blast this year.

I will e-mail you soon about Catie's elf! It's been a busy week, but I would love to get more info.

Have a great weekend - enjoy that parade!

Sadly after growing up in Georgia and being so very, very Irish, I only got to Savannah once for St. Patrick's Day. What a celebration! Have fun.

I have already told you about our elf this year named Joy. I will email the pics soon. Just a quick note to say how awesome we think the Host an Elf fundraiser went. That's great! As an FYI, "Joy" is coming in for Easter this year and leaving her favorite treat in Victoria's Easter basket, JELLYBEANS!!! She has to go home on Easter night though, b/c we are gearing up to go on vacation. I think I might just tell my daughter to put her back in the Easter basket and set her by the door for Santa to come by and pick up. We are going on a cruise and desperately wanted Joy to make an appearance on the ship, but I don't think that is going to happen. Easter is good and she might show up again in June for my daughter's birthday party. We have had tons of fun with her. Take care and don't let little Ms. Izzy eat too many chocolate bunnies for Easter.

P.S. I am only 45 minutes or so from Egleston and my good friend Nurse Lillie Jenkins works there so if I can be of any help at this location let me know (for the elves that is).
