We Made CNN!!!

Ok, it's short, but CNN ran a story from a brief interview I did with them last week. Thank you Jean for letting me know... I had no way to get in touch with the lady who I spoke w/ so I didn't have a clue that the video was up. I just watched it and brainchild here said that Catie battled for 4 1/2 years.... she actually battled 3 1/2 (and lived 4 1/2) but oh well. The beginning include pics from one of the YouTube videos done by moms that I linked to earlier in the week. Seemed kind of appropriate to find out about the video today... Tomorrow is Catie's 5th birthday and the 4th anniversary of her diagnosis...

Check it out!

When you get to the page, scroll down a bit and you'll see Catie sitting there doctoring her baby at the clinic. Click on that, a brief commercial will start and then the piece airs.

we need to hook up & meet....i was a hem/onc nurse for many years at ECH--did i tell you that already?
i left when my first hubby was dx w/ metastatic cancer. came back for a year but was only prn & it was just too hard to be the nurse i wanted to be while only working one day.
i still work for CHOA , as a triage nurse but miss my cancer families.

Thinking of you tonight. Thinking of Catie, too. Well, the rest of the family, too: Nikki, Natalie, Nancy, Daniel, John, Casey, Mike. Gosh, y'all, if any of you read this, I love you dearly. I remember five years ago, and I remember four years ago even more clearly. Thanks for letting us all learn from you--I wish we could have learned a different way.

My heart has been heavy this week. I pray that as you celebrate Catie's birthday, God will give you that wonderful and amazing peace that passes all understanding,

I'm wearing a butterfly tomorrow in honor of Catie.

Love you, girl!

You did it! Catie is up there in heaven cheering her amazing mama on! Woooo-Hooo! I even shared your I-Report with my 5th graders today. You did such a fabulous job, Jenny. You didn't sound nervous or "country-hickish" (tell-n-sell) at all as I would have. Thank you. Thank you for being a wonderful friend to me and for being such a beautiful spokesperson for the cancer mommies everywhere.
You Rock, Sistah!

Happy Birthday, Catie! Gosh, we miss you, darlin'.
