10,000 Things to be Happy About

In college, my girlfriends and I had this great little book called 10,000 Things to be Happy About. It was just a list of thing that made the author smile. It was so much fun to read and even more fun to make our own lists. It's also nice to look back on your list later on and reread it. Being grateful is a good practice, so I thought that occasionally I would do a little list-making here. So here goes, a grateful list for today... I'm grateful for...

*my family... those here and those gone
*Izzy's fat, sumo wrestler looking legs
*a day at home with Tre'
*brownie sundaes
*the sound of Izzy breathing when I walk in her room to check on her in the middle of the night
*finding blooms on our hibiscus
*a good summertime thunderboomer
*summer tomatoes
*music that fits my mood
*tired baby eyes
*Izzy's laugh and squeal
*air conditioning
*memories
*a good belly laugh
*shared stories with your hubby
*the look on Izzy's face when I feed her green beans after she's been eating fruit -- priceless!!!!

I love your new site! I've been reading about Catie's journey for awhile. I'm not sure if I've ever commented though because my dumb computer has problems with Caringbridge guestbooks. . . I don;t know what the deal is. Anyway, I would love to see a picture of Ms.Izzy's "Mom snuck greenbeans in my mouth when I was expecting more applesauce" face.

Have a fantastic day!

I've been following your caringbridge site for awhile now and I'm so glad that you decided to continue writing. You have a great gift in your writing and the way you share and witness really speak to me. I love Catie and your family even though I've never met you. When you had the video on the caringbridge site, I was never able to start it but I watched it on this site and Oh my gosh..... its beautiful. My heart was happy, sad, grateful, and inspired all at the same time. Thank you.

Jenny,

I am so glad you decided to continue writing. I too, am one of the many that has followed Catie's journey for quite awhile now. Your family is very dear to me. The video was amazing, thank you for sharing your girls with us.

I am so glad you have continued on this site. I still check in on Catie's page, but honestly haven't found the words to say lately. I love your writing and your thoughts make me sit back and enjoy life more. Please continue and I will continue to watch Izzy grow and remember Catie that I never met.
